Can-Am is a very well-known and trusted manufacturer in a variety of off-road markets today. They make innovative and extremely high quality off-road vehicles that consumers enjoy and love.
In 2015, Can-Am had to create something to keep up with the Polaris Razr 1000 Turbo which set the bar in the UTV world. They sat down and decided on taking the previous year’s Maverick 1000 and install a factory warrantied turbo charger. This would not only directly compete with the Razr 1000 Turbo, but it would also compete with the newly released Yamaha YZX1000R. Dan Bilzerian chose to go the Can-Am route and man, we have to say they did an amazing job with building this one.
They started out with a stock Can-Am Maverick 1000 Turbo. The first thing they did was upgrade the suspension to a long travel kit. This gives the already off-road capable Maverick more suspension travel which enables it to withstand a lot more abuse in the desert, sand dunes, and whatever else they put it through. Bigger wheels and tires were added not only for looks, but to give it more overall performance in the desert and sand by allowing them to air down when the terrain is soft, and it also gives the Maverick more ground clearance for obstacles they might encounter. A custom roll cage with a built in roof rack was built to give it a meaner look, keep Dan safer, and be able to carry things like ice chests and spare tires. Every adventuring vehicle, especially when it’s a UTV, has to have a roof rack to hold necessities! Custom seats by Beard and a custom UTV vinyl wrap were made with Dan’s signature goat logo printed on them. Overall, this turned out to be one of the coolest Can-Am Maverick 1000 Turbo’s that we’ve seen to date!
