Matt’s Project StormRunner

I wanted to go for the “storm trooper” look with the black wheels, but I also wanted to keep it affordable, so I found a deal on some 18×9 XD Addict wheels on 33″ Nitto Terra Grapplers. This was the very first aftermarket wheel/tire setup that I ran on my truck.

As time went on and my social media started growing, I had the opportunity to start working with some amazing companies in the industry which brings me to my second wheel setup…18×9 Method Race Wheels Standards on 33×12.5 General Grabbers. (Little side note…the headlights in this pic were one of the first sets of EcoTint headlights ever! You’ll learn more about EcoTint later.)

At this point, I thought the truck would stay as it is for a very long time, but I was determined to build a prerunner, so I came up with a plan and a rendering for my build. I started working with Dirt Designs and King Shocks and before I knew it, the truck was headed to Atascadero, CA to Dirt Designs’ shop! I went with a Dirt Designs 99-07 4×4 long travel kit with 2.5×8″ King coilovers. This kit pulls a solid 16″ with functioning 4wd.

I wasn’t even close to being done yet!
